Retraction and Correction Policy

AGRINOVA: Jurnal Inovasi Agribisnis is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. In cases where errors or ethical issues are identified after an article has been published, the journal will follow the guidelines provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) regarding retractions, expressions of concern, and corrections.

1. Corrections (Errata and Corrigenda)

A correction notice will be issued if a small portion of an otherwise reliable publication proves to be misleading or contains honest errors (e.g., mathematical mistakes, labeling errors in figures, or spelling errors in author names) that do not invalidate the research findings.

  • Errata: To correct errors made by the journal during the production process.

  • Corrigenda: To correct significant errors made by the authors.

  • The original article will remain available, but a link to the correction notice will be prominently displayed.

2. Retractions

A retraction will be considered if:

  • There is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of major error, fabrication, or falsification.

  • The article constitutes plagiarism or reports unethical research.

  • The findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper cross-referencing or permission.

  • Procedure: Retracted articles will be clearly labeled as "RETRACTED" in the PDF and metadata, and a formal Retraction Notice explaining the reasons will be published in the next available issue.

3. Expressions of Concern

The Editorial Board may issue an Expression of Concern if:

  • There is inconclusive evidence of research or publication misconduct by the authors.

  • There is evidence that the findings are unreliable, but the authors’ institution is unwilling to investigate the case.

  • An investigation into alleged misconduct is ongoing but will take a long time to complete.

4. Removal of Content

Removal of an article from the online database will only occur in extremely rare circumstances involving legal issues, such as defamation, breach of privacy, or a court order.
